Adult Sunday School

During August 2016: All of the adults will be meeting together in the Worship Center for a combined Adult Sunday School class, taught by Pastor Tom Townsend.

Calvary Baptist Church has five Adult Sunday School classes that meet each Sunday for an hour, beginning at 9:30 am. During the hour, the classes share prayer requests, announce fellowship opportunities, pray together, and study God’s Word together.

The following guide to the Classes provides the general age group as well as the topic of study from April 2016 through July 2016. You are invited to join any of the Adult Sunday School classes. (The only exception is that the Lydia Ladies Class is for Women Only.) Feel free to select the class in which you are most comfortable.

The Lydia Ladies Class meets in the southwest wing of the church’s lower level. This class, taught by Sandy Bolden, continues its study in the book of Psalms.

ekklesia class members are from a wide range of ages and backgrounds which is appropriate because “ekklesia” is the Greek work for “church.” The class meets in the north end of the Fellowship Hall, closest to the main level bathrooms and nurseries. The format of this class is discussion-based, led by Zach Boldt, studying Galatians.

Life Matters Project meets in the Upper Room (above the lobby). This class, led by Len and Marlene Lawson, is using “The Truth Project” DVD series as the basis for their study and discussion. Class members are generally college-age and young adults.

The Berean Class meets in the South end of the Fellowship Hall (by the Church Office area). Class members are generally in their mid-40’s to late-60’s. Taught by Jim Momeyer, the class is studying Contentment.

The Koinonia Class meets in the Worship Center. Class members, consisting of our Senior Saints, are generally in their late-60’s and up. Taught by John Paternoster, the class is studying Doctrine.
