Children's Ministries
Calvary offers ministries of all types for children of all ages. We offer programs during all of our services to help care for and teach your children. Our purpose for our children's teaching ministry is designed to increase their knowledge of God’s Word and to apply Biblical principles to their daily lives

Sunday School

Bible Adventureland: F.R.O.G. (Fully Rely On God) is this year’s theme for our Children’s Sunday School. We invite kids from age 2 through 6 th grade to join the fun every Sunday morning at 9:30 AM. Calvary’s Children’s Sunday School is focused on teaching children both to learn and live God’s Word. We use enjoyable and meaningful learning activities and lessons so the kids will have fun while they are learning Biblical truths.

Calvary offers nurseries during all of its services for children up to the age of 2.

The program is divided into age-appropriate departments that are staffed with teams of dedicated teachers who love kids.

Beginner Department (Ages 2 – 3)
Pre-Primary Department (Age 4 – K)
Primary Department (Grades 1 – 2)
Learning Lab (Grades 3 – 6)

Children in grades 2 – 6 can earn a portion of a scholarship to Camp Barakel through faithful attendance and active participation in Sunday School.

Sunday School is for all ages. There is also a nursery for babies and toddlers, ROAD Student Ministries for 7 th – 12 th grade and a variety of classes for adults of all ages. Bring the whole family to Calvary every Sunday morning at 9:30.

Children's Church

Calvary's Children's Church provides programs for children age 2 through kindergarten during the Sunday Morning Worship Service.

We provide Bible based instruction and activities that provide an age appropriate worship service. This ministry to the children of the Calvary Baptist family and its guests is also a ministry to the parents. We want the parents to feel that their children are welcome, safe and learning about the Lord.

The Lord has once again given us a large number of children to serve and an outstanding staff. We have truly been blessed with teachers and helpers who genuinely care for the children and about building Biblical truths into their lives.

We thank the Lord that Calvary Baptist is a church with so many children to minister to. We want to be part of making our church body one which strengthens families and works alongside them to raise Godly children.

The Sparks & Cubbies are currently for children ages 3 – Kindergarten. Our purpose is “to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ, and train them to serve him.” Clubs meet Tuesday night throughout the school year from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. Children from 1st-6th grade that would like to keep working on their books may do so before Joyful Noise Inc.

Club meetings have three segments: Handbook Time, Council Time, and Game Time. Handbook Time focuses on the Bible. Kids recite the sections they have memorized during the week. Council Time combines singing and Bible lessons to help kids grow in the principles of God’s Word. Game Time needs little explanation – it is active and fun.

Cubbies (3-4 years old) Cubbie Bear and his friends invite three- and four-year-old preschoolers to learn basic Bible truths along with their colors, shapes, numbers, and letters. Cubbies also have crafts and snacks each week.

	Sparks (kindergarten) Sparky the firefly encourages Sparkies to achieve the ranks of Skipper, Hiker, and Climber by memorizing verses and completing activities in their handbooks.


Joyful Noise Inc.

	Joyful Noise Inc. is a program for all children in grades 1-6 that meets on Tuesday nights from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Directors: Judy Cary and Mary McAlvey Joyful Noise Inc. is not just a children's choir. It is an hour of fun that includes games, scripture memory, music, snacks, and drama! Our goals are to:
Have FUN!!! Learn basic music skills Develop good character qualities Memorize verses and learn scriptural truths Have the opportunity to serve the Lord by singing in church services Experience a taste of drama by being involoved in a dramatic musical
Our theme this year is "Strong Tower: Knowing My King." Children will love our Renaissance-inspired room, complete with castle, tower, moat and bridge. We want to help them know their King as their Strong Tower. They will learn that a child of the King is the best kind of prince or princess to be. They will also be learning about the names of God and how God has equipped them with his invisible armor.
September 15th is our kick-off night! Children our encouraged to come dressed up as Kings or Queens, Princes or Princesses, Knights or Ladies, Court Jesters, Heralds, etc. For more information, contact Judy Cary
