If you would like to accept Christ's gift and have a personal relationship with him all He asks is that you ACCEPT that you're a sinner, BELIEVE that Jesus died for you, and CONFESS your need of a savior. You can do these three things through prayer - prayer is just a conversation between you and God, just like if you were talking with a friend standing next to you.

If you don't know exactly what to say all you have to do is repeat these words to God:

Dear Jesus,

I understand what the bridge illustration was saying. I understand that you came and lived a perfect life to pay for all the bad stuff (sin) that I've done. I understand that you died for me. I need you to save me. I know that there is no other way that I can be saved. I pray this in Jesus name. Amen.

There is no magical words in prayer. But this conversation that is between you and God will tell God that you understand what He has done for you and that you want Him to be Lord over your life.
